Affordable Housing

UDI partnered with the city of Durham to restore and build brand new affordable homes located on Corporation, Mangum Court, Cleveland Street and N. Roxboro Street.

Glendale Avenue - A revitalization of Glendale Ave. with construction of 13 affordable homes.

Mangum Court - A low income housing project originally started by another CDC but completed by UDI involving 11 single family homes.

St. Joseph’s Place – A HUD-financed elderly center located on Nash and Hope Streets, serving as an extension of St. Joseph Church. The facility has 32 units and was officially opened in January 2003. It serves as a retirement home for elderly persons who are eligible for rental subsidies.
